"The members of the Class of 1965 pause at the end of their high School days to reflect with sadness upon the untimely death of a classmate, Marsha Ellen Zides. Those who knew Marsha remember her desire to become a pediatric nurse, which was well evidenced by her quiet, understanding way with people and her volunteer work at the Jewish memorial Hospital. In fitting tribute to marsha, a set of books about nursing has been collected in the Needham High School Library in her name."

Marsh was in my homeroom and although we weren't close friends, I liked her very much. When she died I went to her funeral; it was my first time inside a temple. To this day, I can hear her father's uncontrolled wailing at the death of his beautiful daughter. Such a senseless loss of a sweet young person....
