DavidJ. Richardson a life long resident of Needham died on Sunday February 23,2003 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston at the age of 55. Born in Newton David grew up in Needham attending Needham Schools. In 1967 David enlisted in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War where he served on the USS Barry. After his tour a Disabled American Veteran David continued his education graduating from Bridgewater State College with a teaching degree. During the eighties David taught math and science at the former Highland School and the Pollard Middle School in Needham and later taught in the Newton Schools. David is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ellen (Shaughnessy) Richardson, father of Melissa A. Bradley of Newton, Christopher J. and Erin E. Bradley both of Needham. Son of Natalie (Smith) Richardson of Needham and the late John H. Richardson Sr. Brother of Joan Normington of Windham NH, John H. Richardson Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Reading and Nancy Malone and her husband K. Robert of Holliston. David is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
