In continuing my quest to have some comments for everyone on the "In Memory" roster accounted for, I was able to obtain the following about Bob Norton. He died on June 6, 2004.

I do not believe that I was ever in class with Bob but somehow we would often find ourselves at the same table in the lunch room. I remember that he was 4 years older than I was, and he had done a stint in the US Army.  Back then, the Army did not issue the GED certificate so Bob was back at NHS to get his high school diploma.  I remember being in awe because most of us were taking our time at NHS rather casually.  Here was a guy that had seen "the real world" and decided to come back and get his diploma and maybe suffer the social stigma as being "the old guy" in the class of 65. Like most of us, we drifted away from each other after graduation.

I located his obituary that I will share with you:

Robert C Norton of Cumberland, RI, June 6. Beloved husband of Annie M. Doherty Norton. Devoted stepfather of Diane Medeiros & her husband, John of Malden, Jill & Jane Doherty, both of Charlestown. Loving grandfather of Michael Medeiros. Brother of the late Steven Norton. Late Co-founder, Exec. Vice Pres. & Chief Operations Officer of Select/StrategIT, Westwood. Vietnam Era Army Veteran.

That's pretty spectacular; co-founder, exec VP and COO. Hooah Soldier.. Job Well Done... RIP
