I remember Sarah (Sally) Henderson mostly from Mitchell School... or at least I think I do. She was tall and very smart. I also remember that she was friends with Ellen Scott and at one of the past reunions ( that is now anywere from 10 to 40 years ago), I asked Ellen about Sally and she told me that Sally died in an accident in California sometime after her graduation from college. I remember being stunned by the news... and I guess that I still am. I was able to locate her obituary on the Boston Globe as follows:

Private services will be held for Miss Sarah B Henderson 25, of San Francisco, California formerly of Needham who drowned in an accident June 5, 1972 in Yosemite National Park, California. She attended Needham schools and was a graduate of Bates College. She had studied for a year in Scotland and for the past 18 months was a student a the University of San Francisco. Miss Henderson was a member of the Christ Church Episcopal of Needham. She leaves her parents, Cecil W and Natalie (Ewell) Henderson of Dennis and a sister Mrs Judith Carroll of South Walpole.
