Alan M. Wallace, a lifelong Needham resident died suddenly at his home on Thursday December 1, 2005. He was 58 years old. Born and raised in Needham, Alan was a graduate of Needham High School Class of 1965. After high school Alan served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Wallace was the former longtime owner of the Needham Bowlaway. An avid bowler, he was a former amateur candlepin bowling champion. Alan enjoyed sports and was a collector of sports cards and memorabilia. He was also a member of the Medfield Gun Club. Devoted son of the late Alyce (Nichols) and William Wallace. Brother of Ruth Tuchler of CA. Also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Nephew of Georgia Lent of Nova Scotia and cousin of Marilyn Hollembaek of Needham and many other cousins. Special friend of Ellie Peoples of Auburn and Toby Brewer of Needham. A Funeral Service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Thursday December 8th at 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Interment at Needham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Alan's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
